FAQ
Do ANBIA® organic soaps contain lye?

All soap, including ANBIA® soaps, is made using lye (NaOH, “sodium hydroxide”). Even transparent “glycerin” soap and “melt and pour” soaps are made using lye.  In a properly produced soap, lye is a raw ingredient, but there is no lye that remains in the final product. All lye is consumed in the saponification process and presents no danger to you. Super fatting further assures that all lye is consumed. Any company that claims their soap is not made with lye is either promoting false information or doesn’t understand the chemistry behind soap.

Are your products sourced from non-GMO ingredients?

ANBIA® soaps are certified organic. Using non-GMO ingredients is a requirement for obtaining this certification.

Are all ingredients disclosed on the label?

Absolutely yes! Right down to the very last drop. We are proud of the certified organic ingredients we use to make our soaps.

How does the order processing work?

We process all incoming orders in the order they are received.  Orders cannot be changed once processed.  Once shipped, we cannot change or cancel an order. Please review all order details carefully before finalizing.

We do not backorder products. If we are out of stock of an item, we will contact you to discuss replacement options.  We strive to ship orders as quickly as possible. Soap orders ship within 3 business days after the order is placed through USPS Priority Mail.

Does the product ingredient deck use INCI nomenclature to describe all cosmetic ingredients?

Here at ANBIA®, we use organic ingredients and simple, clear words to describe them. We strive for transparency when it comes to our ingredients because they are carefully selected. We are proud of them of this process.
We also believe people deserve to know what is in the products they use in and on their bodies. Although they refer to the same thing, more people understand the term “rosemary extract” than the term “rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract.” The first is laymen’s terms, while the second is INCI.  We don’t need to sound fancy. We’re too busy focusing on being organic.

Chemical Sunscreens, Petro Chemicals, Glycols, Phthalates, PEGs or PPGs, DEA/TEA, Synthetic Polymers, Formaldehyde Donors or 1, 4-Dioxanes?

No to all the above. At ANBIA®, we have carefully selected the ingredients that our certified organic soaps are comprised of. Our products are created so people can enjoy a soap that doesn’t contain any of those harsh, harmful chemicals and ingredients.

Do you have knowledge if the products contain residues of heavy metals or other contaminates in excess of levels set by the FDA or EPA? Is any testing conducted?

We do not test our products for heavy metal residues. There is no need. We source all our ingredients in compliance with USDA organic standards, which are much higher than the standards set by FDA or EPA requirements. Our soaps are certified organic.

Is the packaging made from recyclable and/or post-consumer recycled content?

Our certified organic oatmeal bar soaps are packaged in recycled cardboard boxes. We use HDPE plastic bottles for our certified organic castile body wash  and foaming hand wash soaps and are recyclable, as are the labels we use.  We encourage our customers to recycle in your local community.  Reduce, reuse, recycle!

If your product contains palm oil or any palm oil derivatives, please advise if it is Certified Sustainable Palm and/or if it is sustainably harvested?

Palm oil is an ingredient in our certified organic bar soaps. All the palm oil used is sustainably sourced from South America. We proudly only use organic palm oil which has high sustainability standards.

If any bee products are used, can the company provide the country of origin?

Our Simply Sweet variety of soap does contain certified organic honey. Although bees are not harmed in the process of collection, honey is technically an animal byproduct. Because of this, Simply Sweet is our only variety that is not vegan. ANBIA® uses certified organic honey that has been harvested right here in North America.

Is my personal data safe?

Yes, it is, we use Rapid (SSL) SHA256 encryption in order to keep all our customers’ data safe.  We will never sell your name nor personal information to third-party vendors.

Why do all your soaps contain oatmeal?

Our ANBIA® bar soaps contain finely ground gluten-free certified organic oats.  The oatmeal in our soaps exfoliates your skin and at the same time locks in moisture and protects your skin from exterior irritants.  Our liquid soaps contain oatmeal extract; regular use will regenerate your skin and encourage new cell growth. Oatmeal also contains both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and as such is ideal for sensitive skin. Oatmeal can help normalize your skin’s pH, which can relieve itchy, uncomfortable skin.

Are your soaps truly certified organic?

Yes, our soaps are Certified Organic by Montana State Department of Agriculture, U.S.A.  At ANBIA® we make every one of our soap bars with a minimum of 85% organic ingredients and our liquid soaps contain 82% organic ingredients. Certified organic regulations require that ingredients be traced back to the beginning, to the product’s origins, and then be accounted for in organic percentages. Certified organic also identifies a level of soap quality; it shows a commitment to honesty and transparency. In the case of soap, that means no synthetics or toxins to irritate the skin that cause long-term problems over time. It also means no toxins washed down the drain and passed on to others; none of the ingredients used in making certified organic soap can have been grown or produced using irradiation, sewage sludge, synthetic pesticides or genetic engineering. Certified organic means safe, high-quality products you can feel good about using, and it means an industry you can feel good about supporting when you shop.

Can I use ANBIA® soaps on my sensitive skin?

Although we cannot guarantee it, chances are, yes. Most skin sensitivities are aggravated by the synthetic ingredients added to lotions, creams, make-up, and soaps. Please read the list of ingredients in your soap. Although many people with sensitive skin enjoy using our scented soap varieties, we recommend our Endlessly Pure soap for people with extreme sensitivities.

Do you make vegan soaps?

Yes, we do!  ANBIA® currently carry six varieties of certified organic bar soaps; five of which are vegan friendly.  Our vegan bar soaps are Endlessly Pure, Coco Loco, Wild Herbs, Flower Power and Tropical Punch. Our non-vegan bar soap is Simply Sweet because it contains certified organic honey.

We recently added a new line of liquid soaps, all of which are vegan friendly.  These include our line of castile body wash and our foaming hand wash soaps in six varieties:  Endlessly Pure, Wild Herbs, Coco Loco, Juniper Joy, Spice Bae and Tangelo Glow.

Does the company conduct animal testing of ingredients or products?

Not a chance! We strive above all else to be a green company. We don’t want to harm the planet or any living creature on it. Our manufacturing facility is proudly registered with Leaping Bunny.

If the product contains “fragrance” or petrochemical solvents used for extraction, what extraction method is used?

Absolutely not. We NEVER use fragrance. ANBIA® soaps are scented naturally by essential oils and other natural ingredients.  Apart from our Endlessly Pure soaps which do not contain fragrances.  We know some of you are allergic to scents and we respect your choices.
